I’m doing a little bit of a different post today….no baking treats today.
You’ll get over it!
I wanted to share a little bit of behind the scenes with you and I invite you into my kitchen. My kitchen is (almost) my dream kitchen that we designed ourselves when we moved into this house. When we bought this house just over 3 years ago we walked into the ’70′s. Flowered wallpaper and borders, dark trim, old carpet, yellow sink and toilet in the bathroom, and green lead glass doors to welcome you. The first thing on my list was to gut the kitchen and make the space open-concept.
When I was designing the kitchen with my husband I was pretty realistic with what I wanted. I didn’t need granite countertops or fancy cupboards, or even fancy appliances. I just wanted a space where I had lots of counter space for baking. My husband let me pick out everything but he had one request. He wanted two dishwashers. Yes, you read that right. TWO dishwashers. After explaining why we needed two (we have three kids, we always pack our own lunches for work and the kids school is a litterless lunch school – meaning I have to put everything into containers so there’s no garbage), I was convinced that two dishwashers would be a great addition to our kitchen.
I’m so glad that he convinced me to do this because I never have dirty dishes on my counter (except for all the lunch bags you see in the pictures….all 5 of them lined up and getting unloaded by my hubby) and I have more than enough room to put all my dirty baking dishes somewhere so that I don’t have to do them by hand! Ever since I started using them I’ve always used Finish Jet Dry to get my dishes spot-free and rinsed well. My dishwasher has a little light on it that tells me when it’s time to fill up the rinse-aid so I’m never without, which is perfect.
One thing I never tried before was Finish Dishwasher Cleaner. I used it in one of my dishwashers the other day and what a difference it made. It cleaned all the slime and residue out of those hard-to-reach places and left my dishwasher sparkling clean. I actually have to get another one so I can do the other dishwasher! It willl be something I use on a regular basis to keep my dishwashers clean and fresh.
